Welcome to my web site.  I am excited to have the opportunity to write a short biography.
    Name: Carol Flint
    Phone: (406) 626-2631
I am a native Montanan who was born in Havre. In 1976  I graduated from Cut Bank High School and headed off to college in Billings earning a degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in reading and special education.
My first teaching job was in a small country school located in Dupuyer, MT.  I taught grades 1-4, and another teacher taught grades 5-8.  I actually enjoyed the three years I taught in Dupuyer which is located near the Rocky Mountain Front, but I figured it was time for something else.  I returned to school and completed a master's degree in School Guidance and Counseling.
I was ecstatic to be hired as the first elementary guidance counselor in Frenchtown.  The school was much smaller than it is today and my job description included counseling grades K-8, teaching reading for one period and teaching some jr. high special education classes.  After three years I changed positions and became the reading specialist and I taught jr. high literature.  When the opportunity presented itself, I made a change and taught grade 6 for 15 years.  Currently I am the guidance counselor for grades 3-6.  It looks like I will begin and end my career at Frenchtown as a counselor!   I feel pleased to be a part of such a great learning community.
I enjoy downhill skiing, bicycling, cross-country skiing, golfing, bowling, doing stained glass, gardening, and reading.
    Class Description(s)
Class lessons focus on communication skills, study skills, hygiene, and inter-personal relationships.  We are an MBI (Montana Behavioral Initiative) school which stresses Responsibility, Respect and Safety.  Olweus is Frenchtown's anti-bullying program.
In addition to being a counselor, I am the 504 and SAT (Student Assistance Team) coordinator for grades 3-6.
