I pursued a secondary education at Western Montana College and played football for the Bulldogs from 1980-1983. I transferred to the University of Montana in 1983 and completed my undergraduate studies in 1988 while working for United Parcel Service in Missoula. I taught and coached in Idaho Falls Idaho for ten years, first at Eagle Rock Junior High, and then at Bonneville High School. I returned to Montana to take over as head football coach at my alma mater, Loyola Sacred Heart High School in 1998. I worked as a plumber's laborer, substitute taught at many schools in the Missoula area, even here at Frenchtown High School in 1998-99. I taught on a one year contract at Rattlesnake Middle School in 1999. I replaced Bob Hauck Sr. as the Dean of Activities/Athletic Director at Loyola Sacred Heart High School from 2000-2002. I have been teaching here at Frenchtown Jr HIgh and High School since the fall of 2002.
